Dear Mr. Bush;

Our organization commends your courage and outspokenness regarding the issue of the drugging our children. We firmly believe, as you do, that our educational system is in a crisis state. The mental health industry has planted itself firmly inside our schools, thwarting our efforts at getting sound, proven educational tools in the door. These resources are often passed over or ignored; whereas labeling and drugging is encouraged and generally accepted. This drugging for profit is becoming the "norm" and our children are being left by the wayside.

Sadly, parents are many times misinformed and misled by people within the "professional" community. Currently there are lawsuits addressing the issue of "informed consent" and what information is NOT being provided to parents in regards to ADHD/ADD and the drugs used to "treat" it. The bottom line is, that we, as parents are responsible for providing the safety, care, and protection or our children. This obligation is seriously impeded when we are not provided with ALL the facts surrounding this issue.

As a final note we can only hope that you will continue to speaking out against this outrage. Please use your knowledge of the truth to help get our schools back to their purpose---EDUCATING. Our children are ABLED and NOT Disabled! They need to be addressed as such.

Many thanks for the thoughtful email and for your pioneering work on behalf
of kids and parents that need to be better informed on a matter that is of
primary importance to our society.  It is sick how out of sync our system
has become to rely on such widespread labeling and drugging.  Together we
can make a difference.  Let's stay in touch.
