A South Carolina boy murders his grandparents and says the drug zoloft made him
do it.In two weeks the nation will watch him go on trial.Fifteen-year-old
Christopher Pittman was just twelve when he shot his grandparents inside
their Chester County home.He set their house on fire and then stole their
car.Pittman is being charged as an adult and could face life in prison.CNN is
covering the trial and says the case may set a precident.CNN Investigative
Producer James Polk says "there have been decisions in Canada and Great
Britian and now the FDA that say this type of anti-depressant can cause
agitation, can be a trigger for some kinds of violence including suicide to the
extent that it's been banned for children in GB and Canada and the FDA
has put a warning against it's use, all anti depressants."Court TV will
cover the trial live January 31st.
