Autopsy of Shooter Reveals Gunshot Wound & Homicide

Every day since the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump, the public and news outlets have been begging for morsels of any information that may provide some reason for the attempted attack that left one dead, two wounded and President Trump left alive by only millimeters.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is the lead investigative agency in this attack. So far, its investigation is lacking in so many areas it’s hard to know where to start. Five days after the attack the public still is looking at High School photos of the would-be assassin, though he was reportedly twenty years old. Why? Certainly, the shooter must have a more recent photo than High School.

Additionally, the public has been told that the would-be assassin drove a blue Hyundai Sonata, a white minivan that was towed from the scene with explosive devices and the would-be assassin’s bicycle with a backpack. Couldn’t have driven all three. And where are the security camera data from buildings in the area? Wouldn’t that show, at a minimum, the shooter’s movements throughout the day?

Nevertheless, the bread and butter of any investigation is tangible evidence including the ballistics information of the weapon used and anything the shooter’s dead body may reveal…his autopsy. The FBI is crickets about the ballistics – what exact weapon was used and what projectiles have been recovered either from the deceased or the crime scene.  Why? What’s the big secret?

Further, the FBI has yet to release any information about the shooter’s autopsy. Why? The body, if handled correctly would be subject to fingerprint data, DNA, and toxicology tests. When will that information be made available? Well, according to the Allegheny County Coroner’s office it’s anybody’s guess.

AbleChild contacted the Allegheny County Coroner’s Office where Crooks’ body was taken. According to Jessica, who refused to provide her last name, an autopsy was conducted, and a report has been completed. The cause of Crook’s death is listed as gun shot and manner of death is homicide.

Before abruptly ending the conversation, Jessica explained that according to the law, the medical examiner’s office is not required to release any information other than the cause and manner of death.  The medical examiner’s office will not be releasing the death certificate and also refused to release the log of when the body was received at the medical examiner’s office.

Okay. Good to know. But there must be a fingerprint report, a DNA report and a toxicology report provided at some point. The FBI wrongly advised the day of the attempted assassination that Crooks was the lone shooter and did not have any mental illnesses. During the FBI’s meeting with lawmakers five days after the shooting, the FBI said that Crooks had been diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder. The toxicology will provide information about whether Crooks was on any psychiatric mind-altering drugs.

Further, the fingerprint data and DNA will provide information about whether Crooks’ fingerprints and DNA are actually on the weapon, and the ballistics work will provide information as to whether the projectiles recovered from the scene and deceased bodies match the reported weapon used.

This information is necessary to determine whether Crooks is the shooter and, perhaps, put to rest any conversation about a second shooter. So, it benefits the FBI to release the data as quickly as possible. It’s okay that they apparently got Crooks mental health status wrong, but now it’s time to reveal what the shooter may have been taking and how it may have affected his judgement. It’s time to answer these basic questions.
