FBI Silence Breeds Conspiracies on Assassination Attempt

New York Post, July 15, 2024

July 29, 2024

It’s been nearly three weeks since the attempted assassination of Donald J. Trump and the public has learned very little about what exactly occurred that warm July afternoon. So just for the fun of it, let’s consider the confirmed information and what still is a mystery.

Let’s be honest, to date, no confirmed information about the alleged would-be assassin has been made public. So, we’ll just move on to what still is a mystery.

First, the public has not been provided with the make, model or serial number of the weapon that allegedly was fired during the assassination attempt.

The public also has not been provided with the DNA and fingerprint results proving that Thomas Matthew Crooks was the shooter. The public should also be apprised of whether the DNA and fingerprints taken from the would-be shooter match those on the weapon.

Just as important, have ballistics tests been conducted that prove that all the recovered projectiles match the barrel of the weapon reportedly used by the alleged gunman on the AGR building roof? Collecting eight bullet casings from the roof of the AGR building does not prove the projectiles recovered from the scene and victims came from that weapon. And, just as important, the FBI should also provide ballistics data to prove what projectile from what weapon killed the alleged shooter.

Furthermore, no security camera footage has been provided to the public from buildings around the rally site. Why? Wouldn’t that security camera footage show the public the would-be shooter’s whereabouts throughout the day? Wouldn’t the security camera footage from the AGR building alone reveal when and how the alleged shooter climbed on the roof and when the shooter reportedly stashed the weapon prior to the rally? The FBI has not even mentioned that the footage has been requested from nearby businesses and homes for evaluation. Why?

Why has the public not been provided with an updated photo of the alleged shooter. Is it possible that there are no photographs of Thomas Matthew Crooks since High School? Does the Nursing Home facility that the shooter allegedly worked for not have an updated photo for a badge that must have been worn? This seems odd on its face.

And, finally, what’s with the Crooks family? The only information that is publicly available reveals that both mom and dad are licensed behavioral health counselors. Which, if you think about it, is weird.  Mom and dad are specialists in behavioral health and, yet they failed to notice that their son apparently had some mental health issues.  Anyway, dad has been briefly seen on two occasions, and we are told that the parents are cooperating. The first sighting of dad was when he opened his front door for law enforcement and once when dad was grocery shopping with the reported older sister to Thomas Matthew Crooks. That’s it. Mom doesn’t show up anywhere. Zip. Zero. Nada. Why? It’s just weird that there is no social footprint for anyone in this family. How is that possible in today’s social media driven world?

Of course, the lack of concrete information about the alleged shooter and his family only leads to conspiracy and cover up discussions. There is no excuse for law enforcement to withhold autopsy, ballistics, fingerprint, and DNA results. The bottom line is that information won’t change but it will end the rampant speculation about what actually occurred. Let’s have it.
