Psychiatric Abuse & Experimentation with Cocktail of Psych Drugs Fueled TN Covenant School Massacre

Just believe us. Nobody but the shooter is responsible. Informed consent means nothing in Tennessee and the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department (NMPD) takes its orders from the parents of the shooter. That is what the public is left with from the final report on the March 27, 2023, Covenant Presbyterian Church and School shooting. Frankly, the two years in the making NMPD report appears to be a pathetic and insulting attempt to cover up the true reason behind the deadly attack. After reading the 48-page report on Audrey Hale’s murderous assault on the school it is impossible to believe that the NMPD was unable to obtain mental health evidence because “Hale’s parents no longer had confidence in the ability of the NMPD to safeguard this information.”  Apparently, Hale’s parents only gave up the mental health records to the NMDP on the strict condition that the NMDP keep the records confidential and never make them public. Really? Six innocent people are dead, and the parents of the killer are dictating to law enforcement what evidence will and will not be made available? How does that work? Seriously. When did the parents of killers become the arbiters of evidence?

It doesn’t make sense. But let’s take look at what already is known and what is glaringly missing from the report that really is galling. There is ample evidence that the shooter, Audrey Hale, had been a mental health patient since the age of seven, beginning with kindergarten anxiety of all things. Over the next two decades Hale was treated by numerous therapists, psychiatrists and neuropsychologists. Records reflect that Hale had been diagnosed with numerous mental health disorders including but not limited to Major depressive disorder, dysthymic disorder (persistent depression), generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, social phobias, anger issues, and anorexia nervosa. According to the report Hale “suffered from those diagnosed conditions up until her death, despite medication and treatment.”

So here is the rub. Why isn’t detailed information about Hale’s mental health treatment made part of this investigation? Why isn’t the public allowed to see Hale’s psychiatric drug regimen from the beginning of her mental health treatment to the end? Why isn’t the public allowed to know the names of Hale’s treating physicians? If ever there was a psychiatric treatment failure, it’s Audry Hale. The physicians who failed abysmally in their treatment of Hale still are treating others who are suffering similar behavioral issues.  How is this sound policy and practice for the unsuspecting public? And this says nothing of her doctors failing to take action when there was no doubt the patient was a harm to herself and others so the public could be protected. How is it that these “treating” physicians have escaped any responsibility? Well, we’ll never know because Hale’s parents apparently are in control of the investigation and have refused to allow the public access to that information.

Audrey Hale is the poster child of modern psychiatric treatment. Twenty years in therapy, countless drug cocktails and Hale only got more drugged. From the little information that was provided, Hale never got better. Hale got a different therapist, a different drug cocktail and a different diagnosis, but she never got better. In fact, based on the little information that was provided about Hale’s mental health treatment, the only thing that changed was that Hale’s anger escalated and she got more drugged. And Hale even told her therapist that she had suicidal ideation and homicidal fantasies.

Unbelievably, after Hale had advised her therapist that she was suicidal and homicidal, she purchased her first AR-style rifle, and the report advises that Hale’s mother “objected to the rifle” but “her father had no problem with Hale having the firearm provided she take classes to learn how to use the rifle safely and responsibly.” These are the parental decisions being made about a gun-buying daughter that has been treated for several mental illness for twenty years and they are the people in control of the investigative evidence? At what point does law enforcement consider that Hale’s parents may share some of the responsibility of Hale’s deadly actions?

Even more bizarre, in 2021 Hale “let it slip to her therapist” that she owned a rifle. Did the therapist notify law enforcement that Hale suffered from major mental illness, was on a mind-altering drug cocktail and had had suicidal and homicidal ideation and fantasies? Nope. Didn’t happen. Again, at what point are therapists responsible for their failure to protect the public from harm?

But the really galling portion of the report comes when the NMPD seem to become apologists and explain that “it’s apparent the first two therapists who treated Hale did the best they could…whenever Hale showed indicators of her mental health deteriorating (which apparently was all the time), her therapists addressed those issues quickly, including referrals to other providers for psychological assessments and treatment.” And here’s the kicker, “the available records showed Hale was regularly prescribed medication to treat her assorted mental health disorders, with the prescribing physicians monitoring her interactions with the medication regularly.”

What was Hale’s drug treatment record? When did she first get prescribed a mind-altering drug, what was it and for what disorder? When did Hale receive her first cocktail of psychiatric drugs and how many times were Hale’s cocktails tweaked over the course of twenty-years? Show the public that record and the reasons for the attack will become apparent.  Releasing these records does not violate HIPPA.  There are exceptions to HIPPA protections, including legal proceedings and law enforcement purposes.

Based on this skimpy mental health record, there is no doubt that Hale had been the victim of experimental psychiatric drug therapy in the form of continually changing drug cocktails. These are not benign drugs. Prescription psychotropic drugs can cause serious, even deadly adverse events. The fact that Hale’s mental health is the focus of the entire report and the only part of the investigation that has been withheld from the public leaves little doubt about what caused Hale to become murderous. Not allowing the public to know what prescription psychiatric drug cocktails Hale had been prescribed over twenty years is very telling and leaves little doubt about what drove Hale to kill.
